Attorney Katherine A. Twardak
Print BioAfter years of representing clients in complex civil litigation matters, Katie joined Tomasik Kotin Kasserman, LLC as a trial attorney in 2019 where she practices in all areas of personal injury law.
Prior to coming to Tomasik Kotin Kasserman, Katie was an attorney at Johnson & Bell and a member of the firm’s Health Care Group specializing in medical malpractice and wrongful death matters. Before beginning her practice of law, Katie gained valuable personal injury experience clerking at Power Rogers & Smith. While at the Loyola University School of Law, Katie was chosen to be a member of the Corboy Fellowship in Trial Advocacy, an intensive trial advocacy training program awarded to only the top advocates at the Loyola. There, Katie also received the Joan Marie Corboy Scholarship for Leadership and Trial Advocacy.
Katie was selected as an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2017, 2018, and 2020 - 2022, a distinction that is limited to fewer than 2.5% of attorneys in Illinois.
Katie received her bachelor’s degree from Boston College in 2006, her master’s in education from Dominican University in 2009, and her law degree from Loyola in 2014. When not at the office, Katie serves as a member of the Leader Council at Mercy Home for Boys & Girls and also mentors youth at Mercy Home through its tutoring program.
