Tim Tomasik to Present Webinar on the Proper Use of Party Opponent Admissions By Their Agents at Trial
On June 9, 2020, Attorney Tim Tomasik will be speaking in a Strafford live webinar on the topic of "Admitting Hearsay and Applying FRE 801(d)(2): Expanding the Scope of Party Admissions to Outside Counsel Statements." He will discuss how Federal Rule of Evidence 801(d)(2) applies to statements made by an opposing party's agents, including their attorney. In some cases, these statements may be admissible to prove part of a claim or defense. The webinar will look at when FRE 801(d)(2) may be used to strip away attorney-client privilege and how attorneys can prevent their statements from being used to harm their client's case. After the presentation, Mr. Tomasik will be taking questions and directly addressing the issues faced by attorneys in these types of cases.
The webinar will be held on Tuesday, June 9, from 12:00pm-1:30pm CDT. Participants can receive CLE credits. To register, please call 1-800-926-7926, ask for Admitting Hearsay and Applying FRE 801(d)(2) on 6/9/2020, and mention code ZDFCA.
