Tim Tomasik to Speak at the ABA Conference on Mass Tort Litigation in San Francisco on Judicial Quasi-Class Actions
Tim Tomasik, Partner at Tomasik Kotin Kasserman, LLC, will be speaking on judicial quasi-class actions and managing MDL and mass tort litigation, judicial control over the appointment of lead counsel, attorney fees, and court approval of private settlements.
Participating in his panel discussion is the Honorable Alvin K. Hellerstein, U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York, who presided over the 9/11 wrongful death, property damage, and respiratory cases. Also participating on the panel is Sheila Birnbaum, who served as the mediator in all of the 9/11 wrongful death cases brought in the Southern District of New York. Tim was a member of the Plaintiffs' Property Damage Executive Committee that represented the property damage claimants in the 9/11 Litigation that resolved in 2011.
